I have one almost that old, made in 1948. It still plays well and I enjoy playing it. My first real wood clarinet purchased in 1949. The bore looks almost new, but the outside is showing some wear and tear. I am going to have to get a new case as this one is about worn out -- can't make the latches hold anymore very well. Thanks for sharing these photos and history with us.
